About College:
Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for Women (Formerly ISS College of Information Technology and Engineering for Women) was established in 1997 and has been sponsored by Sangam Laxmibai Vidyapeet (SLV) headed by Dr Ramlakshmi, a physician and administrator is the Correspondent of the College. The SLV is a registered voluntary social action group working for empowerment of women and girls through education since 1952.
The Engineering College is managed by an executive committee consisting of persons with long experience in the field of education.
The college campus is located in a clean atmosphere with a lot of open space and greenery with landscape gardens spread over an area of 6.34 acres. There is plenty of breeze and the campus is free from noise, dust and other pollutions even though it is located in the central part of the city.
Within a short period of eight years, the college has emerged as one of the premier engineering colleges in the state. The college is offering the following B Tech courses with intake shown against each :

Our Mission
To impart quality technical education to our students so that they become competent engineers, scientists, academicians, etc., the college celebrates freedom of thoughts and encourages hard work and also inculcates human values and concern for the society. Empowerment of women through technical education and make the institute a pace setter to other technical institutes in the region.
TOP RANKERS
Ms Padmini Gorty is the top ranker among the 2003-07 batch of Computer Science and Engineering students of JNTU and she received the University Gold Medal at the 24th Convocation held on April 2, 2008.
Earlier, Ms Rubina Naaz of 1999-2003 batch and Ms Sree Deepika of 2000-04 batch in Electronics and Instrumentation engineering were top rankers in JNTU and achieved BRECW. The 2002-06 batch students achieved 17 ranks in top 100 ranks of JNTU.
The College student Ms D Rohini Sindhuri of 2001-05 batch secured 43rd rank in results of All India Civil Service (Main) Examination 2008.
The college is ranked first among all affiliated colleges of JNTU for overall pass percentage of all five branches and all four batches in the academic year 2006-07.
The college students have received good appreciation for carry out their projects in the prestigious organizations like DLRL, DRDL, RCI, ANURAG, NFC, IICT, ECIL, NIC, HCL, NRSA and BHEL.
The selection of faculty members is made every year by the JNTU selection committee and presently the strength of teaching faculty is 125. The college sponsors faculty members liberally to various orientation and refresher courses for updating their knowledge.
Principal’s view
Principal Dr Palanki Balakrishna said that more than 600 students from BTech, MCA and MBA were successfully placed during last three years in multinational companies. All departments are promoting soft skills development programmes, personality development programmes to the students to meet the corporate requirements and also promoting awareness programmes on emerging technologies, GRE and GMAT.
However, much is still to be done and many more scientists and engineers are needed to research and solve the nation’s problems, he pointed out.
The Principal said that the College regularly conducts parent-teacher meeting to facilitate the parents to interact with the faculty go get acquainted with progress of their children.
Students’speak
Priyanka, a BTech (EEE) student from the college, says that the college is taking a more inclusive approach to become a leader in attracting, preparing, and expanding opportunities for women students historically underrepresented in engineering.
The college placement cell strives to create a vibrant and inclusive community of students from a wide range of backgrounds and to prepare engineers with diverse perspectives to be innovative leaders in a global society, she added.
Saritha, a BTech third year student says, “No where else can I get a Bhoj Reddy Engineering College for such a good deal. On top of that, the College of Engineering provides me with so many tools to get through college. Like undergraduate research, scholarships, and financial assistance. It’s great! And everyone here is so friendly! Eveyone here is willing to help you!”
Library:

The college has spacious well-stocked modern library, available to the students and faculty, the latest information in all forms, text and competitive and reference books, periodicals and back volumes of periodicals, project reports, and CDs and News papers facility for their intellectual nourishment. The college library is fully computerized through VTLS-Virtua Library Management Software, networked and multimedia digital library with 65 computers.
