Seminar Topic & Paper Presentation On SECURED COMPUTING WITH PALLADIUM

Abstract:

As the world is becoming more and more computer centric, the concept of data security has got the paramount importance. The current security systems are providing a good level of protection, their incapable of providing “trustworthy” environment and vulnerable to unexpected attacks. Here comes the concept of   “PALLADIUM” [1]. Palladium is a moniker derived from the Greek mythological goddess of wisdom. A palladium is a content protection concept as a share concern of both hardware and software. This concept will enable the user to ensure data integrity and security. Palladium is a content protection concept that has spawned from the belief that the pc, as it currently stands, is not architecturally equipped to protect a user forms the pitfalls and challenges that an all-pervasive network such as the Internet poses.

Palladium prevents the operating system and users alike from unauthorized users and unexpected attacks. These features will offer enterprise customers significant new benefits for network security and content protection.

This is quite an interesting stuff. But as we know , in the age of(upcoming age of) cloud computing and the ever-prevalent proxy servers, how do you rate the concept of palladium w.r.t them. Please comment!!
